The MPV Reliant was a space cruiser set proposal in Bricklink Designer Program 1 and was available in Bricklink’s pilot program Moc Pop-Up Store. It consisted of a spaceship and a base, the latter had a container and a grabber vehicle both of which could slide in the spaceship making it a space freighter.

 

I now completely revised and overhauled the instructions. For instance I have deleted the long rigid hose used in the long torpedo shaped flux compensators on top of the wings and rebuilt it using several bars. This means it does not matter which technic connectors you use (old/new), they will all fit. Also I reinforced the landing gear and many more changes.

 

Also I brought the modular concept to the next level. Now you may detach not only engines and wings of the spacecraft but the whole rear of the ship. You can easily turn the cargo ship into a space fighter. Use the chassis as your starting point to build your own engines/wings/rear and totally change the looks of the MPV Reliant.

 

The space cruiser is good for display and yet it is packed with lots of features enhancing playability. It is swooshable and quite sturdy/stable. I built the spaceship with real bricks.

 

Compared to the version of the Moc Pop-Up Store it has a habitat platform attached. I will soon release the base with the grabber vehicle and the container both of which also attach to the cargo compartment of the ship in order to expand the possibilities of this multi-purpose vessel.

– Length: 27,9 cm or 11 in
– Height: 15,7 cm or 6.2 in

 

The instructions include the spaceship only, without the minifigs. I will upload the instructions of the base with the grabber vehicle and the container separately soon. With this package you get the instructions for the spaceship (part I+II), the xml parts list for the spaceship and an xml parts list for the chassis only (in case you want to build the chassis only and build your own wings…). As to the stickers you may get the professional stickers from Richard Roebuck on Stickybrickit(dot)com.
