Inspired by the official LEGO updates to 924 Space Cruiser and 918 Space Transport, this update to the classic 6890 Cosmic Cruiser is the newest member of the 10497 Galaxy Explorer alt build fleet!

 

This MOC alternate build is constructed only with parts from 10497 but retains many of the unique design elements and play features from the original set: the split wings, the RCS thruster antennae, landing struts … but most importantly, the integrated scout ship!

Just like on the original, open the back hatch of the cruiser to undock the scout ship and send the red astronaut on a mission. Once the mission’s completed, rejoin the cruiser again to continue exploring the unknown!

 

An update to the classic 889 Radar Truck, this modern version of the classic ground support vehicle features a much larger sensor array than the original while retaining its tilting play feature, allowing your astronauts to see farther and explore further than ever before!
